What is the Corridor?

Maryland's International Corridor is located along University Boulevard (Route 193), which runs east-west through Prince George's County, Takoma Park, and Montgomery County.

The corridor encompasses neighborhoods and businesses located in all three (3) jurisdictions.  These businesses and the neighborhoods surrounding the corridor itself are home to entrepreneurs and residents from dozens of countries from around the world including Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, West Africa, the Caribbean, and elsewhere.

Activities of MICCDC

Building Partnerships to Strengthen the Commercial Corridor

  • Forming alliances with the lending community to gain access to capital for our existing businesses and emerging entrepreneurs wanting to start businesses.

  • Marketing the businesses within the International Corridor to reach an expanded consumer area.

  • Creating a small business development and assistance center to coordinate the delivery of technical, financial, and other services to the business community in the International Corridor.

  • Collecting and analyzing data about market and other conditions that will help businesses grow their customer base and strengthen their businesses.

Revitalizing the Residential Neighborhoods
